Wood vs. vinyl privacy fence
Wood costs less up front, looks natural, and is easy to repair board by board. It needs
staining or sealing every few years to fight Carolina humidity and sun.
Vinyl costs more to install but never needs paint, stain, or serious maintenance, and it
shrugs off moisture and insects. Over 15 to 20 years it often costs less than wood once you
add up the upkeep.
